Illuminating the Path Through Torah Learning

Rabbi Mordecai Griffin and the Lapid Judaism Zakenim offer a comprehensive educational journey into the heart of what being a Jew means. The classes are designed to bridge the gap between Christian mindsets to restoring the original message of faith through rigorous study, spiritual devotion, and community engagement. The following classes are designed to begin the conversion process to Lapid Judaism.

In Episode 1 of Yesod HaBrit, we explore the foundations of Judaism as a living covenant: the Jewish people as a covenant family, the role of the Land of Israel, the primacy of Torah, the Jewish understanding of God, and the binding authority of halacha.

Yesod HaBrit with Rabbi Griffin

In this second session of Yesod HaBrit, we explore “The Jewish Way of Life”—a covenantal path grounded not only in the observance of mitzvot, but in ethics, justice, compassion, and the formation of a good heart.

In this third session of Yesod HaBrit, we go through the importance of the Shabbat and prayer as a Jewish nation.  What does it mean to keep the Shabbat? Is daily prayer important? We will discuss all of this together.

In this fourth session of Yesod HaBrit we discuss the Synagogue & Signs of the Torah and how that relates to us as a Jewish community.

In this fifth session of Yesod HaBrit we are going over the Kashrut laws & Yom Tovs. Why is eating kosher so important and how do the Yom Tovs affect us? This will be answered in our class.

Our last session of Yesod HaBrit is covering Special Occasions of Life. What a blessing it is to do life together as a community. This class will go over the occasions that bring us together.

In this foundational class, we open the door to the ancient discipline of Mussar, the ethical and spiritual tradition devoted to the refinement of character (middot) in alignment with Torah. While many pursue knowledge, Mussar insists that the ultimate goal is not merely to know—but to become.

Torat HaMiddot with Zaken Yigal

In this second class of Torat HaMiddot, we will answer: what is Mussar—and why has it been called the hidden path to true transformation within Judaism? Drawing from classical sources such as Pirkei Avot, medieval Mussar masters, and the deeper currents of Jewish thought,

In this third class of Torat HaMiddot, we will also consider how the call to inner transformation echoes throughout the teachings of the prophets and finds powerful expression in the ethical teachings preserved in the Gospels—always understood through the primacy of Torah.
